Combo Tour - Costa Rica & Nicaragua

Morgan's Rock

Day 01. You will fly into Liberia Airport (Costa Rica - LIR) and receive private transportation to the Hotel Borinquen located near the active Rincon de la Vieja volcano. Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and lush forests, the hotel offers a wide variety of outdoor and adventure activities to enjoy and is very close to the city of Liberia and the Daniel Oduber International Airport (45 minute transfer). The thermal springs with hot pools, the mineral mud and the natural steam-room will add to the relaxing atmosphere of this retreat in the highlands. You can take advantage of the curative properties that have long been attributed to mineral rich waters and mud-pots. You will stay at this magnificent hotel for three nights.

Day 02. This day you will enjoy a fun-fill and adventures tour by ATV to the crater of the Rincon de la Vieja volcano. Discover the magnificent beauty of the world-famous Rincon de la Vieja Volcano National Park. Cross rivers, and hills on the way to the park, enjoy beautiful views and cross small charming towns.

Day 03. Enjoy the day at Borinquen on your own.

Day 04. You will be transferred to the hip and popular Southern Pacific beach town in Nicaragua know as San Juan del Sur. There you will check in for two nights at the fabulous Morgan's Rock Hacienda & Ecolodge. Morgan's Rock is more than just a hotel or luxury resort. It is a unique and natural haven for the true traveler who is looking for a touch of luxury while enjoying the adventure and excitement of an exotic and tropical destination. But most importantly, it is a project of nature conservation, community development and reforestation offering Agro and Ecotourism at its best.

Day 05. Enjoy the beach at San Juan del Sur and Morgan's Rock on you own.

Day 06. You will be transported to the ferry at Rivas that will take to reach the volcanic island of Ometepe located in the Lago de Nicaragua, one of the largest lakes in the world. The island is formed from two volcanoes, Concepción (active) and Maderas. There you will check in for two nights at Hotel Villaparaíso, which is located on the Santo Domingo Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on the Ometepe Island, in the great Cocibolca Lake, just between the Concepción y Maderas volcanoes.

Day 07. Enjoy Lago de Nicaragua and the wonders of Ometepe Island and the Villa Paraiso Resort on your own.

Granada

Day 08. You will be transported to the historic colonial city of Granada on the shores of the Lago de Nicaragua. There you will check in for three nights at the Hotel Alhambra. Hotel Alhambra was founded in 1953. It is located at the west side of the Central Park of Granada, (Colonial city founded in 1524), only a few steps from Lago de Nicaragua and the most interesting cultural places of the city. In this hotel you can admire a colonial and neoclassic atmosphere, which agrees with the architecture and style of the city. In the lobby of the hotel, there is beautiful dome and columns encircled by four corridors with roofs out of reed. Furthermore you can admire small details like the painting of San Miguel Arcangel, antique furniture of the colonial époque, decorations of Nicaraguan crafts, surrounded by a natural ambiance of plants and flowers and water fountains.

Day 09 - 10. Enjoy the historical city of Granada, Nicaragua on your own.

Day 11. You will be transported back to Liberia, Costa Rica where you will check in for your last night at the Best Western Sitio, located close to the airport.

Day 12. You will take a hotel shuttle to the airport to catch your flight home.
