PackageCostaRica.com There are nearly twice as many species of plants in Costa Rica than North America alone and the Country is only about the size of West Virginia! These were taken at the base of the volcano right after a loud blast errupted!

After eating at one of our favorite restaurants in San Jose, we stopped along side the road to catch this view. One of the hot spots for night life in San Jose is called "Pueblo", and it is many clubs all at one location. You can really appreciate the latin music and dance after visiting here.

Flamingo offers an incredible marina and long stretches of white sandy beaches. I've been told that Elizabeth Taylor has a house on these hills. The villas at Punta islita are incredible. This hammock sits right outside your door. The couple next to us also had monkeys hanging around their patio.

There are many wild life exhibits and parks in Costa Rica. This was a butterfly museum. The coloring on this butterfly resembles an eye to frighten away attackers. During the off season, (July, Aug, Sep, Oct), you can visit many resorts and find Costa ricans on vacation. All though it is supposedly the rainy season, we love going this time of the year. It is usually clear in the mornings, early afternoons, and evenings. Most of the rain is late in the afternoon while you could be taking a nice nap!!! This lady was very friendly and we talked for a long time.

One of the all inclusive resorts in Tambor includes a wonderful show for the family in an outdoor/covered area on the beach that is awesome! This is one of our favorite places to visit, the La Mansion in Manuel Antonio. From the pool, look right over the bar high above the Pacific Ocean.

Costa Ricans love their music and their dance. We highly suggest you take a few dance lessons while you are there. The Salsa and Merengue are very popluar! Another view from a beautiful resort in Arenal. At night, sit on the porch and watch lava flow down the volcano.

A canopy tour consists of gliding from one platform to the other right over the trees of the rain forest. It's awesome and is included in most of our trips. Many places have spa treatments and massages. There is no end to service and relaxation in Costa Rica.
