Real Estate Exploration Tour
A Booming Market!!!
You may have heard that the Costa Rica real estate market is hot! That is true, but here like anywhere else it is very possible, indeed very likely, that you will make a poor investment without doing your homework. Part of that homework must include traveling to this country to see for yourself what all the buzz is about. That is why the concept of the Real Estate Exploration Tour was created. Package Costa Rica is a travel company. However, because of our extensive knowledge of this country we are in a good position to lead customers objectively to the right investment choice. We are not partial to any given area of Costa Rica. Often when talking with a broker in a given area you will hear the catch-phrase, "this [area] is the real Costa Rica" as if only their particular area of coverage is the only place anyone would ever want to invest. That kind of advice, while understandable, can also lead you to make a very poor investment choice. Coming from a transactional background (see my Bio below) and after having lived here for many years and traveled all over the country, I know for a fact that there are many areas of Costa Rica that can be great investment choices. Depending on your objectives (buy and hold, build, develop, retire, etc., etc.), one area may make more sense than another. The Exploration Tour is about exposing you to what is available and letting you make the decision that is right for you without any bias. We also make sure that you have a great time while you are here and that you leave equipped with the knowledge that will help you avoid the traps of investing in a foreign country.
Below you will find a brief description of the Tour as well as some other information that we think you will find helpful. Go to our Costa Rica Information Page for even more information. After all, you need to know Costa Rica before you buy Costa Rica!

Model Itinerary
The itinerary below is only a "model" of what the Real Estate Tour might look like. Each tour will be created according to the unique desires and objectives of the customer.
Day 1: Arrive to the San Jose International Airport. The President of Package Costa Rica, Scott Bowers*, will greet you at the airport and transport you to your hotel in San Jose.
Day 2: After breakfast at your hotel you will spend a couple hours with one of San Jose's top real estate attorneys. During this time you will be brought up to speed on the vital information you need to know about investing in Costa Rica real estate.
Days 3 - 4: You will be transported to your first Exploration area (which will be chosen based on information contained in the Form below as well as discussions with me, your personal guide throughout the Tour). We will meet with a top local agent and will spend the afternoon and following day looking at properties in the area.
Days 5 - 6: You will be transported to your next Exploration area. Again a top local agent will greet us at the airport and will assist us in exploring properties in the area the afternoon of the first day as well as all day the following.
Day 7: This day we will return to San Jose for the last night. We will hold a debriefing session so that you will have a chance to ask questions and make plans for following up on what you have discovered.
Day 8: You will be transported to the airport to catch your flight home.
After you return home, we will continue to be available as your advisor for as long as it takes to get the transaction completed to your satisfaction. Yes as your agent, we will be entitled to a commission, but NOT from you, from the Seller! We will also be available to arrange follow up trips as necessary.
Price of the tour will vary according to such things as locations chosen, mode of transport to each location and accommodations and activities included in the package. Once you submit an inquiry for a Tour, we will prepare a Custom Itinerary with price for your review. Changes can be made as necessary to arrive at the right fit given your overall investment objectives and desires for the trip. Filling out our Information Form will go a long way to helping us create a Tour that is most consistent with those objectives and desires.
