Sorry it has taken us so long to follow up from our trip this summer. We had a grand time!!! Everything went off without a hitch. We loved all the hotels, activities, people and places. We have and would recommend you to anyone we know traveling to Costa Rica. I have to say being in business I was a little leery about doing a wire transfer upfront. I was thinking what if we send the wire, get there and no one shows up to meet us. LOL, hardly the case. Fernando was there to great us and took great care of us when ever he was responsible to drive us.
The guides were so much fun on all our day trips. Great choices for us! The people are so genuine, it was refreshing! The hot springs were so nice. Especially after repelling and climbing the biggest vertical ladder I have ever seen in my life. I impressed myself. I hope you continue to prosper and be blessed!
p.s. My son writes for the school newspaper. There are over 2000 kids in the school. I feel so incredibly fortunate to have met with and worked closely with the two of you; the result was the most AMAZING vacation my family has EVER taken! I had been researching this year's vaction for almost seven months on my own as well as with many other companies before I found what I thought might be "the right fit" with packagecostarica, and yet was still a bit hesitant to book the trip. But because the two of you were always so accessible- as well as truly and sincerely accomodating - through both calls and e-mails, I ultimately felt confident going with your company. Matt, you were absolutely phenomenal! You worked non-stop with me to create - and then recreate - a very personalized itinerary that my entire family thoroughly enjoyed! You also helped me to pick THE most beautiful place to stay with the Volcano Lodge - we didn't want to leave! And we will never be able to thank you enough for your help (mid-trip!) in changing accommodations for our last night there - we couldn't have been happier and appreciated your efforts more than you'll ever know! You seem to have a true talent for reading people and then matching them to what makes them happiest!
Also, it did not go unnoticed how packagecosatrica always arranged our tours with the most exceptionally reputable companies - any time we talked to the locals, they always confirmed that we were "very lucky" to be "going with the best" each day! White water rafting, horseback riding, canyoning, ATVing, the hot springs, the infamous ziplining... all incredible! And the convenience of the vouchers and pre-arranged transportation made this the most stress-free vacation we've ever taken!
I teach at a high school where I had told all my colleaugues last June about our late-August itinerary through your company and when we returned back to school last week, they were all anxious for details. Many of them asked me for your e-mail, and two of the Spanish teachers wanted me to speak to their classes about the cultural experiences may family had. I have reccomended your company to EVERYONE who asks me about our trip, and my husband has done the same in the land of corporate America.
We have a general rule that we never plan to re-visit a place until we've seen all the others on our list - but we both agree we WILL go back to Costa Rica sooner than later, and it goes without saying that we will book that trip through you! Costa Rica was simply amazing. La Fortuna was such a visual treat. The volcano tour was spectacular. We were privileged to see the red lava flowing at night. And the canyoning tour was adventurous and refreshing. The waterfalls were so much fun. We were exhilarated afterwards and pledged to do a lot more high adventure activities as a family, when we got home.
Again, I can't say enough about Luis at Cangreja Lodge in La Fortuna. He is hands down, THE nicest person I have ever met. The hospitality he showed us was quite overwhelming. The last night we were there he took us to Don Rufino for dinner. The dinner was scrumptious. The waiter even cut my sons' ribeyes! Never seen that before. It was there that I learned that as long as Luis has lived in Costa Rica, he has never gone canyoning. I helped make it possible for him to do so. His eyes teared up and he was speechless. He said he was not used to that level of kindness. That's a crying shame, because he deserves so much more. Being an American sure has it's perks, but when I travel, I sure do feel the responsibility to help others acheive dreams if only with a little help. Luis is truly an asset to his company and yours.
Then the trip to Monteverde was a lot of fun. We loved the boat trip across the lake. To see the Arenal volcano in our rearview, just above the outboard motor, was so awesome. Monteverde was spectacular. We enjoyed the canopy zip line more than words can describe. What an awesome sensation to be zipping above that beautiful rainforest. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us. And what a magnificent rainforest - and so clean. Oh my goodness. We had so much fun there.
Then in Manuel Antonio we experienced colorful people, a wonderful restaurant "The Tree House", (a restaurant built around an old experienced the most breathtaking sunset I have ever seen. I've seen some beautiful sunsets: Hawaii, etc., but that place took the cake. And to top it off, my boys learned to surf there! What a sublime feeling to see my sons surfing in siloutte with that beautifully spectacular sun with it's glorious rays behind them. It looked like at any moment God was just going to step out on a ray and take us all home. Wow. We will never forget that.

I wanted to take some time to tell you about the GREAT time I had in Costa Rica!! The entire package you put together for me was perfect! I loved everything I did! I wished we would have upgraded for a better room in Arenal Paraiso Hotel but that is pretty much it. We did upgrade our room in Casitas Eclipse and it was all worth it!!
I loved Pacuare Lodge the BEST and would like to go there again for a much longer period of time. Maybe I would like to stay at least 3-5 days there next time I go, on the Honeymoon suite!! Next time I would like to find more places like Pacuare Lodge!! That place was beautiful! The people were great and the food was excellent! Maybe there is a place like Pacuare by the beach??
Also, the rappelling was great. I did 3 canopy's while I was in Costa Rica and by far the BEST one and most impressive was the one in where you scheduled me the rappelling, Cataratas Wildlife Refuge! It was beautiful there. You should send more people there to do the Canopy's!! It is way worth it!! And the food was GREAT!!

Wow, I don't even know how to begin to thank you for organizing the best vacation my husband and I have ever taken! We purchased the Pure Adrenaline Package and were very impressed! It far exceeded our expectations. The whole trip went so smoothly that we were able to relax and truly enjoy the beauty and culture of Costa Rica without the worries of driving ourselves and getting lost. Our shuttle drivers, hotel staff, and especially our guides were incredibly nice and fun. I want to mention Roy from the white water rafting tour especially...he was so great! The lady at the front desk of Hotel Balmoral was also particularly helpful (and patient) with me and all my questions! They seemed to go above and beyond to ensure we had a good time. Talk about a belated thank you, time moves so much faster in the States!
We had a wonderful, exciting tour of Costa Rica, and I wanted to send you this e-mail to let you know just how much we enjoyed it. Costa Rica is an amazing place (we are already missing it a lot :)) and you made it a very special trip for us. We loved everything about this trip - our itinerary, the places we stayed at, the activities planned for us, our tour guides, the private transfers from one place to another...the list goes on...Right from day one, we were impressed with how efficient Package Costa Rica was! All of the drivers spoke at least a little English, and many had good English, and they were all pleasant (especially Uri). The hotels were very nice. We thoroughly enjoyed the Inn in Arenal. It was "our kind of place" with the individual cabins and a breathtaking view of the volcano. And everyone there was so nice; great breakfast too. In Manuel Antonio the pools and spa were enjoyable, and what a wonderful view. On a walk to the beach, we spotted howler monkeys in the trees and set up our camera for a close-up view. We took some excellent photos of the monkeys. Another highlight of the trip was the night walk in Monteverde. We were lucky enough to see some amazing wildlife, including a tarantula, sleeping rare birds, bizarre insects, and lots of Coutis. We really enjoyed our guide and this tour. The best part had to be "the proposal" of course, though. But it would not have been so perfect without all of your help Scott. You went out of your way to make our once in a lifetime experience, well, a once in a lifetime experience, and for that I am forever greatful! All in all we truly had a wonderful trip, Mark, and I am so pleased with having made all of the arrangements through you and Package Costa Rica. I will gladly recommend you and your company to friends and family, and I hope that we will have occasion to book through you again. Thank you for all of your help with the arrangements and your hospitality!

Thanks for the follow-up. We arrived home safely less one bag of luggage which was delivered the next day; No big deal...just a bunch of dirty clothes and minus 2 bottles of hot sauce (confiscated at U.S. Customs). Bummer!!
Our time in Costa Rica was incredibly fun and educational for the whole family. We had a great experience!!! We arrived home in Massachusetts yesterday. Our flight out of Costa Rica was delayed on the tarmac of the airport for 5 hours. We could not get off the plane. This was the only unpleasant part of our whole trip. It was sooooo long. There was a problem with wind, a heavy and full plane of passengers and fuel, and a short runway. The protocol for take off requires that the plane must be able to clear the mountains if under the rare condition one engine would not operate. So we waited for the wind to die down enough to take off.
On a happier note. Our trip was the best! Everywhere we stayed the staff were kind and helpful and we had great tours. The zipline at Original Canopy Tour was the terrific. The two brothers who guided us were the nicest young men. They were patient and professional. We enjoyed them and our tour equally. Monteverde was a natural delight. I wish the wind was not so strong as we missed seeing wildlife in nature. Chris and Las Orquideas was interesting to talk to. He was raised in Mississippi close to where my sons used to live in Arkansas. I hope you contacted hiim about my left behind camera charger and battery.
Montezuma was a great beach place. We hiked over to Playa Grande and had a great day both there and at the beach in front of Ylang Ylang. Food was the best at Sano Banano. Again the staff there were so nice and helpful. The Sano Banano was a lovely peaceful place to be. We loved it there too.
Our rafting on the Pacuare was so exciting and beautiful. Again our guides Christian and our boat guide "Roy Rogers" were the best. They made it so enjoyable for everyone. Christian is a natural educator. "Roy Rogers" made the rafting as exciting as my 3 sons wanted it to be. He had a great sense of humor and lively personality, which made it more enjoyable. Our raft had some real thrill seekers. I even think it could have more wild and still enjoyable. That is a very organized and well operated excursion. Thank you for making that plan for us. It was terrific. I will want to go back for the overnight trip they do.
Also Pablo thank you for the responsible, careful, and skillful drivers we had. Both Fernando, Franco, and Alberto, (Fernando's brother) were all very good drivers and we felt safe with them.
This is a trip we will always remember with great affection for Costa Rica. We want to return again.
Overall Pablo it was a wonderful trip. I love Costa Rica. What a beautiful country you have. Such biodiversity of nature there. I will look forward to the day I can return. Thank you for arranging our trip. My sons too extend their thanks to you. It was a trip for us to remember as family for ever.

Also, we just made our flight on Friday.....I wish I knew the name of our driver, as he did everything possible to get us to the airport. What a horrible traffic jam - everywhere!. Luckily for us there were no large lines paying the departure tax, checking in, or getting through security. As it turns out, we even had about 15-20 minutes to do some last minute airport shopping!
Thanks again for your help. I hope that someday we can again visit your beautiful country. Also, if you should ever get the chance to visit the Pacific Northwest, please do not hesitate to contact me. We have a wonderful guesthouse for your stay and I would be very pleased to show you our fine city and surrounding area.

Thank you once again for showing us a great time while in Costa Rica. Being from the New York Metro Area we were a little skeptical at first of trusting a touring company with planning our vacation, however without the assistance of PackageCostaRica.com our trip would not have been the same. We were educated about the culture and history of Costa Rica and had a great time seeing a variety of the animals of Costa Rica on the first day with the Poas 4 in 1 tour. Next, we were challenged by all of the adventure that Arenal had to offer. In 3 days we hiked La Fortuna Waterfall, completed the canopy tour, went on a mountain bike trip around Lake Arenal, and then recovered at the Tabacon hot springs. After a few days of adventure it was time to relax and party. We then traveled to Jaco where we enjoyed the sunny beach, restaurants, and bars. Finally, we concluded the vacation with a fantastic night out in "el pueblo" with Yuri in San Jose.
Throughout our entire trip we felt very safe and made friends in each town. Both of us speak only a little Spanish, but we were able to communicate with a mixture of Spanish and nglish. We recommend others to keep an open mind when traveling to Costa Rica and to plan to have an excellent adventure. We are looking forward to returning soon and using PackageCostaRica.com again.

Our whole trip was great. My highlights were swinging from the rope and reluctantly jumping into the water!!! We loved the shrimp at Mareisqueria and enjoyed all of the adventures you set up for us. Our days in Manuel Antonio at "Si como no" were definialy our favorite. We were treated like celebrities our whole time. The attention to details show by everyone at Package Costa Rica made all the difference I allowing us to relax during our honeymoon. Re: Jaco - I know, I know, you warned us! ;) The fact that we had a problem and that you and Yuri put considerable effort into finding a solution was very much appreciated. But we were very happy with every other aspect of our trip. Hotel Montana de Fuego was wonderful, and the canopy tour we went on was amazing! Tabacon was relaxing and the food there and at the hotel was great. Hotel Costa Verde in Manuel Antonio was gorgeous, and we took a guided tour of the National Park and saw many lizards, bats, sloths, a porcupine, and a monkey. We also saw a huge group of howler monkeys at the hotel. Yuri showed us some very cool places in Manuel Antonio as well. The only real problem we had in the end is that our trip was too short! (Next time - two weeks!)
We will definitely recommend (and already have recommended) Package Costa Rica to anyone we know that's considering travelling to Costa Rica.
We'll also e-mail some photos as soon as we get around to going through them all...

All in all, the trip was fantastic. Both Yuri and Ronald should be commended for the great jobs they did getting us, and all of our luggage, around. And, poor Ronald should receive extra kudos for the late night trips and putting up with my brother!
The fishing trip was wonderful! Both captains worked very hard at meeting our needs and making sure we had a good time. One of the boats landed 2 sails, and all of us brought in enough Dorado to feed the entire family that night.

I know I know, our vacation was over a month ago, but I had to tell you about it! We had a fabulous time! Yuri was a great driver, great personality, and he never complained when we asked him to stop so that we could buy things! Villa Caletas was great, Tortuga Island was amazing, we decided to do the banana boat ride! We ended up riding wtih the photographer and actually had him take us out the next day for a day of personal photography!! I can't begin to tell you how amazing that was. Him and his girlfriend took us to Hermosa beach and to their home, which was so neat because they had a bunch of different fruit trees. We tried coconut milk for the first time, which now we're addicted to, and got to try starfruit, which we can do without!! They took us to a 'local' spot of waterfalls! Scott, I really think that added to our trip, and you may want to look into possibly including them in your packages. They live in Hermosa beach.

Dear Scott,
Keith, Derek and I had an amazing time in Costa Rica. We appreciate all the excursions you planned for us. We added a night walk in Monteverde, which featured mostly arachnids, and an unguided day in Manuel Antonio where we saw as many iguanas as squirrels in our yard in Virginia.
Thanks again for your help in making all the arrangements for our great adventure. Even though I had some complaints, we had an amazing trip, and got to see the wonders and the challenges of living in Costa Rica. The people, as promised, were wonderful.

Karl and I just wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic time in Costa Rica. We were glad that we picked the Costa Rica highligts package because it gave us a glimpse of what there is to do in Costa Rica and allowed us to see 3 different parts of the country which was really really great. We did some things that we were glad to have done but aren't sure we will ever have the guts to do them again ie the canopy tour (i'm terrified of heights) and the kayaking out to Isla Damas (crocodiles - need I say more?!). All in all the experience was wonderful and we've been showing all our pictures to our friends and telling them they need to visit this gorgeous country. We know we're definitely visiting again...we really loved it.
It rained alot while we were there but that didn't bother us at all...we enjoyed every minute of our trip. The trip was great from the get go...Yuri was really wonderful - he gave us great tips, answered all of our questions, introduced us to soda let us try cow tongue...it was just wonderful the minute we arrived. That very day we knew we were coming back.
So...thanks to all of you. It was fantastic...the hotels we stayed in were all great...the food was phenomenal and we had an amazing time...it was actually our honeymoon vacation and we're so glad we chose to do this tour. So great!

Just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had in Costa Rica. It was probably one of the best vacations we have ever taken. We are accustom to staying in one place for 1-2 weeks so it was good to get up and go every few days.The people in Costa Rica were so friendly and kind. Our only wish was that we could have stayed longer in each place we visited and of course that we spoke the language!
All in all, it all went well.Everyone (including my 17 year old had a great time). Beautiful country with lots of things to see and do. I think we come back we will do the Northern Pacific and maybe the east coast.

A couple of comments about the trip...for your use in the future:
The Montezuma Canopy Tour was not run as safely as it could have been. An inexperienced person could get hurt. We rated this one last.
The other three canopy tours were great. Aronal and Monte Verde were great but not for 1st timers. Guides were very good. We would definitely go back to each. Horse back riding at the volcano was great fun.
Land & Love was the best overall. It would be great for a 1st timers and was also great for us experienced ones. It got longer and faster as you went along. The towers were a blast. Guides were amazing!!!! Definitely would go back. There was many other activities we would like to experience. You should make sure you send people to this place.
All the places we stayed were great. We really got a look at the country. Food was best at Monte Verde. The food at the all inclusive was OK, thank god for the alcohol.
The mix ups actually were a god send. We would have never got to stay in Montezuma (which was a great nite) and we would have missed Lands & Love (which was overall great). Thanks for all your help. I would definitely refer you to anyone who wants to go to Costa Rica.

We do want to thank you and your staff for all the work you put into the honeymooner's trip. They are still talking about the 'beauty' of CR and the people they have met.
I do appologize for getting so anxious about the places they would visit and stay. After all, you know best, and I should never have worried!! I wanted the trip to be very romantic, and it was!
The prostitution element was not a big deal. I showed A and A the articles online about abuse and prostitution and the economy....they understand better now....I of course, have seen plenty of it in Asia and other places. The good comes along with the bad. We have our own problems in paradise here in the Keys.
Thank you again for the lovely trip. I believe A and A will email Yuri soon. They had dinner with the couple the last night and enjoyed it so much.

Everything went smoothly with enough time to relax and enjoy the places. I especially enjoyed the wonderful views from all our hotels. Hello. We just returned from our trip and I would like to tell you that everything went very well! We had a wonderful time. Every place we visited was beautiful...the hotels were great...and the atmosphere was friendly. We love the country and want to thank you for helping us plan such a great itinerary.
Dominical was our favorite! The small beach town with night life that was very fun with lots of backpackers! I am planning a trip to Peru in July and would like to know if you can suggest any places or travel agencies that can help me. We are looking for other surfing beaches (like Dominical) in Peru. I am sorry it has taken a week to write this. The trip was awesome! Scott thanks again for a great first day. I am so glad we got that introduction and saw the volcano active.
I loved the canopy tours. Everything was great. Accomodations were perfect. The Balmoral had the perfect SJ location for stubborn tourists who insist on staying there. You warned me. We had fun in the capitol but the next trip, which I will make soon, I will skip that piece just as you guys suggested.
I have other friends very interested so you will hear from me again. I just wanted to tell you that things went smoothly and you guys do a great job.
